The size modifier is added once to each award a player earns in that tournament: once to the placement award and once to the Swiss award. An award never goes below 0. No award, no modifier.
Example: a 16-player event (−3). Champion + Swiss King (5 rounds) = 12 + 7 = 19 pts.
If a tournament's Swiss rounds aren't recorded yet, its Swiss King points show as pending and aren't counted until confirmed.
